Hello, I’m Jack — a composer, producer, songwriter and musician.

That’s my way of saying I haven’t had a real job since I was fired from McDonald’s when I was 17.
I started busking soon after, performing while studying at the Newcastle Conservatorium of Music. I spent the next decade travelling around the world, learning the tricks of the busking trade and developing a cool-at-the-time percussive fingerstyle sound that became my calling card. Crowds began filming the sets and the videos spread. Soon, doors began to open as a session musician, working with notable artists, bands and commercial clients.
In 2017, Otis Studios came across one of those performances and brought me into the studio. What started as a single session grew into a long-running partnership, composing and producing music for international campaigns for international clients including ZipRecruiter, Kia, Westfield, Canva and Tourism New Zealand. Some of my work was even shortlisted for a Cannes Lion.
Now, as an independent composer and producer, I work across styles - from intimate guitar pieces to cinematic orchestral arrangements - shifting genres depending on what the story or brief needs. No matter the scale, I still have the same approach I always have: Grab their attention fast, make an emotional impact and create something that can stop people in their tracks.
